I've owned 3 Jeep Cherokee XJs and Thom's has done work on all of them. Thom's intimate knowledge of Jeeps is extensive, and the team at Thom's is great to work with. You can certainly find other places to have work done that are less money. But you won't find another place in Chicago that can match the expertise and quality of work. Take it from a Jeep Owner of over 25 years: the only place to take your Jeep is Thom's.

Discovered Thom's from a Google search my first week in Chicago. Drove my Wrangler JKU cross country and the transmission blew up en route. With significant modifications to the vehicle, I was searching for a reputable 4x4 mechanic who knew Jeeps well and could work with it despite all of the aftermarket additions to it. They have not disappointed yet. Transmission repair was well done and reasonably priced for the work needed on it. Have taken it back for routine maintenance since that time, and both their customer service and mechanical work have been excellent. Place is full of built-out Jeeps every time I am there, so you feel like you're in good company. Every service seems to come with a fresh car wash and a detailed explanation of work performed, any issues found, and future options to consider to keep the vehicle in good shape. For someone who is very skeptical of mechanics in general, I am glad to have found Thom's to prove me wrong! I have no reason to look anywhere else for my Jeep and look forward to working with them again.
